People are treasure to God. "By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures."Proverbs 24:3-4 NIV. So people are treasure to us. Our culture of celebration focuses on honoring God and extends towards celebrating each other. Celebrating others allows your roots to cross with someone else’s and both get sustained by the same rain.
Las personas son un tesoro para Dios. "Con sabiduría se construye la casa; con inteligencia se echan los cimientos. Con buen juicio se llenan sus cuartos de bellos y extraordinarios tesoros." Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”Nehemiah 8:10. Since the Bible is clear about joy, so are we. We teach generations within our community that JOY is our heritage as children of God. Having the knowledge that your roots produce joy, yields great patience to see that fruit again and again.

Short-term, turns seeds planted into a full tree.
Long-term turns a full tree into a fruitful tree.
Home City remains committed to the short-term and long-term of each leader and makes room for the fruit of that leader to further develop the community of God.

2. Learn From Others | Aprende De Otros

Paul, the apostle, had a great understanding of the law and had a newfound understanding of Jesus. His roots truly began to sprout after he learned better ways from Priscila and Aquila. We must learn to grow our roots deep as we find examples near us.
Christian community yields fruit tree by tree. The roots of a new tree only go so far, yet when planted near a large tree the roots of the smaller can be supported by the roots of the larger. Even to the point of being nurtured together. So God tells us “To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3
